2019 Auriesville Retreat
The Auriesville Retreat is for Scouts and scouters in the Catholic Faith who would like to attend a retreat. This The retreat begins at 9AM on Saturday May 4. Saturday’s events include talks by the Retreat Master, small group activities and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Scouts are invited to visit the Ravine to meditate on the martyrdom of St. Isaac Jogues and his companions.
The highlight of the weekend is Mass celebrated by Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger at 7:00 p.m.. During Mass, the Bishop presents various religious awards earned by Scouts and Scouters. We invite the families of those receiving awards to attend Mass with their youth.
Non-Catholic Units and Scouts are welcome to accompany their Catholic members
Optional camping will be available on the grounds Friday May 3 – Saturday May 4. Webelos dens may camp with a Troop or individually provided each scout is accompanied by a parent or guardian
Retreat is open to all Scout unit types- BSA, Girl Scouts, Campfire, and American Heritage. They may register as units or individual scouts may attend on a lone scout basis. All units and individuals attending must follow the youth protection and camping guidelines of their particular organization and level.
This event is being held at a national shrine so unit may be eligible for the Historical Trails Award.

This year we have a new program that is being offered by the Diocesan Committee on scouting for our younger scouts. Bring your Pack and Den for a day of reflection and Cub Scout fun, highlighted with a mass with the Bishop.
