Council Spring Camporee

This year's camporee experience is designed to provide activities for our Scouts that will help them fulfill American Heritage Merit Badge requirements. While providing Scouts with a basic but thorough understanding of Scouting history. Scouts will get to tour the Stone Fort and its grounds, participate in enactments and compete in Historically themed competitions.

Historically Themed Competitions:

• Historical Camp

• Historical Cooking

• Historical Field Games

• Two man Buck Saw

General schedule:

Friday, May 19th  -  Check-in starts at 4 pm, Units set up camp and attend 8 pm Camp Fire. 

Saturday, May 20th - Merit Badge work, Historical Competitions, Patch Trade-o-Ree, and 8 pm Camp Fire.

The weekend should end at about noon on Sunday, May 21st.

 

Earn American Heritage Merit Badge

  • NOTE --- REQUIREMENT 3C MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE CAMPOREE IN ORDER TO FINISH THE MERIT BADGE.  PROOF OF FAMILY HISTORY SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO CAMPOREE TO SHOW COUNSELOR.
