In order to best serve our communities, the council is broken up into 3 service areas referred to as districts. Each district is served by a team of volunteers and assisted by a professional staff member.

The Leatherstocking Council maintains and staffs Camp Kingsley for year round Scouting activities and Cub Scout resident camp during the summer. For Scouts BSA resident camp the council is partnered with Seneca Waterways Council to provide the best summer camp experience at Massawepie Scout Reservation.
