Embark on an unforgettable adventure at the “ART” Camporee! This exciting 3-day event is designed for Cubs and Scouts BSA members in the Leatherstocking Council, offering hands-on skill-building opportunities in Automotive, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Electrical, Welding, Construction and more! Scouts will get to meet and interact with instructors and Craftsman:
We have an exciting array of programs available. Scouts will be able to select one of eight different program tracks. Each track features four different trades.
Select the track that appeals the most to each of your Scouts, but they must have a buddy and they must stick with their Track group. So if a Scout selects Track 6, another Scout from his unit must also Select Track 6 and they will become buddies. They need to stay with their track group all day since there will be adults going with the kids. This ensures no kids are off wandering around on their own.
There is a maximum capacity of 40 youth per track so it will be first come first served. If one track is full, units will have to select from one of the others. Since the campus is large, the BUDDY SYSTEM will be enforced. Scouts must stay with thier track group.

From sawing lumber to building bird and bat boxes, you’ll tour a real woodshop and make something awesome to take home!

Build like a pro with framing, plumbing, and electrical projects that put tools in your hands and ideas into action.
🌱 Horticulture
Dig into the world of plants—identify them, pave your own path, and try your hand at the science of grafting!
🔥 Welding & Environmental Science
Weld metal, cast a fishing line, explore a science museum, and sample real groundwater—this track is equal parts sparks and nature!
🌞 Renewable Energy
Discover how the Earth powers your world with hands-on sessions in solar, wind, geothermal, and biofuels—clean energy never looked so cool!
🚜 Diesel Tech
Climb into the cab of a semi-truck, operate real equipment, and get under the hood of massive diesel machines!
Who can come:
Scouts, BSA, Ventures, Explorers and Cub Scouts. Cub Scouts are welcome to join the Spring Camporee for the WHOLE weekend OR they can choose to go for the day on Saturday. If they’re going to camp for the weekend, it is $25 per Scout and per adult (EXCEPT lion/tiger adult partners which are no charge). If you register your unit late Cost will increase to $30 per person.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE your packs to camp! Even better if they partner with a local Troop for the weekend and get to know the unit they’ll likely cross over to.
Units will be responsible for bringing food and drink for their units for the weekend. There will be no food service.

At the “Trade Trek” Camporee, we are gathering exhibitors from a variety of trade disciplines. Scouts will have the exceptional chance to engage with and learn from the dedicated individuals who contribute to our communities through their skilled work every day.
