What is the Whitley’s Peanut Sale?

Every meaningful project requires resources, and Scouting is no different. That’s why our local Scouting Council and districts are thrilled to announce the upcoming Spring Whitley’s Peanut Sale! Fundraising is a fantastic way to boost your unit’s funds for Summer Camp, all while providing valuable leadership and learning experiences for your Scouts.

We encourage our units to take full advantage of this opportunity to fund their year-round activities, including summer camp and Scouting camping programs. These funds can also help cover costs related to earning ranks and achieving Scouting awards.

Here’s why your Scout should jump on board:

1. Earn Your Way: As Scouts, we know how important it is to fund the adventures and activities that make Scouting unforgettable. With the Fall Popcorn Sale, you can earn money directly for your troop and activites. Whether it’s funding that next camping trip, paying for awards, or program fees, every sale counts!
2. Develop Skills: Selling isn’t just about raising funds; it’s an opportunity to develop valuable life skills.
   • Improve their Communication Skills as they communicate with their community to fundraise.
   • Teamwork to goal setting and entrepreneurship, the Spring Whitley Peanut Sale is a hands-on learning experience that will benefit you long after the sale is over.
3. Join the Fun: What’s better than spending time with your fellow Scouts, working towards a common goal, and having fun along the way? The Spring Peanut Sale brings us together as a community, strengthens our bonds, and creates memories that last a lifetime.

Methods to sell.

Person to Person Sales:

This Tried and True method involves taking the order form to places such as work, School, church, or through the neighborhood to ask if family and friends would like to place an order. Money should be collected at the time the order is placed. Forms should be filled out as completely as possible, so that the Scout would know where to deliver the product when it arrives. Be sure to tell your customers when they can expect their product to arrive.

Parents/Guardians may take a Scout’s order forms to their place of work, worship, etc. Collect orders on the Sale Form, and turn into the unit leader by April 1st)

Online Sales:

Whitley’s Peanut Factory does not have an online option for the Nut Sale but that does not mean you can’t. Work with your Parent/Guardian and use contacts, social media, and all electronic forms to create a buzz about your sale.
