Camperships

This page is dedicated to Leatherstocking Council's Campership Programs that financially assist Scouts all across the Leatherstocking Council area.
While most of the campership funding we receive is restricted by geographic location, the Leatherstocking Council, BSA board of directors does allocate funding for general camperships to Scouts registered in our council, based on financial need, no matter where you live. Therefore, you are encouraged to apply.
We encourage applicants to start making payments and submit applications in September so Camperships can be reviewed and applied ASAP!
Each year, thanks to the following donors, we award approximately $40,000 to $50,000 worth of camperships!
- The Indium Corporation & Macartney Family Foundation
- Designated for economically disadvantaged youth in Utica, Rome and Clinton, NY.
- The Robinson-Broadhurst Foundation Inc.
- Designated for Scouts residing in the Stamford/Jefferson, NY area.
- Awards are determined by geography only, not financial need.
- The A. Lindsay And Olive B. O'Connor Foundation, Inc.
- Designated for Scouts residing in the South Kortright, NY school district.
- If additional funding is available, Scouts from Delaware County may also apply.
- Awards are determined by geography only, not financial need.
- The Scriven Foundation

- If more applications are received than we receive funding to accommodate, awards will be determined by financial need.
Forms can be submitted to the Scout Office in person, by mail, or by online submission.
